Trip Review the Second
I have very much to say about my trip. But first of all, I want to underline the brightest difference between Russia and Ireland. It’s in the people. This time I was living in a family, not in a campus, and I was shocked, how warmly and politely I was received.
This is statement is applicable for all the Ireland. There’s no problem to get help from any random person on the street, yet Irish aren’t very strict considering time issues. Even school stuff often was late for some meetings, where they were obliged to be present.
I am also very grateful to house-owner, whose house has been occupied by me for entire two weeks. I’ll never forget such a nice and generous woman.
So, what’s about the country itself? I spent all my time in Dublin, though I had some planned excursions around Ireland. I had missed the first one due to my alarm clock and hadn’t had any will to go on the second one.
I was quite surprised with the amount of people in the city center. It’s definitely overcrowded and very noisy. However, the suburb is pretty green and quiet and the air there is very clean.
There’s a huge Phoenix Park near the center, the place I liked the most. It took four hours for me to see only a half of it. Google sais that some deers live in the park, but, unfortunately, I didn’t find them.
The Dublin architecture is just similar to the Bath’s one, but more colorful. I don’t pay much attention to such things, though it’s not actually right.
The education program was called ‘STEM’, what means ‘Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths’. All these aspects of program were quite weak, comparing to my Russian school education, there had been little new for me. The level of students’ English was much higher than in England, where I was previous year. This is a really motivating factor, especially for students, who feel uncomfortable abroad alone.
So, ultimately, the trip was productive and extremely interesting, for which I am grateful to people from the "Masterclass". I’m looking forward to dealing with you again.
